Our May Relief Society was "Sew" Fun!

We are sewing...we are sewing, la la la....
We had a really good turnout for our May meeting which centered around Sewing.  We started off the night with a light dinner of Chicken Salad and rolls, followed by Pineapple Yum Yum Cake.  (And it was Yum)

Our food committee for the night was Pam, Janet, Ruby, Dorothy, and Lolli.  (Welcome Lolli, we're so glad you're part of our ward!)

We Ladies sure love to eat.  The only thing we love more than eating is visiting!!

After dinner we separated for our classes.  Leslie taught us how to make YoYo's.  Well, they look more like fabric flowers with a button in the middle, soooo cute and can be used to embellish just about anything.

Annie taught Sewing 101.  This was for anyone who wanted to know all the basics, how to work a machine, sewing terms,, reading a pattern, how to NOT sew your own finger in machine, etc.
Lots of sisters enjoyed making "Scrubbies" with Patty.  Amazing what you can do with a crochet hook and a little netting!!

Last but not least, we offered a Family Home Evening "game idea".....BEAN BAGS!!  Lisa taught the class and each sister went home with as many bean bags as she could make along with a sheet of fun ideas on how to use them in FHE.

Thanks to all who helped with the food, classes, set-up, clean-up and all who came.  We had a great time!!
